Getting Shadowmourne?

If you are trying to get Shadowmourne i have made a guide so people get a good look on the difficulty of this. First of all you need to be friendly with The Ashen Verdict the new faction introduced in 3.3, the reputation is granted for killing mobs in Icecorwn Citadel. Once you do that Darion Mograine will give you the first quest, The Sacred and the Corrupt. The easy part is getting Light’s Vengeance since this doest require a raid, you can see a movie of how to do this here.

The hard part comes when you need 25x Primordial Saronite the new Cursader Orbs from ICC that can be bought for 23x Emblem of Frost. The emblems can be only obtained from ICC 25 and 10 man, the Raid Weekly Quests (5 emblems per week) the Daily Heroic Quests (2 emblems per day) and from a small chain of quests in the new 5man dungeon (6 emblems). And of course in getting Festergut’s Acidic Blood and Rotface’s Acidic Blood from Festergut and Rotface, bosses that will not be available as soon as 3.3 its live.
Doing this quest will require some time and some money if you want to buy the Primordial Saronite and for those “gold hunters” this is a good opportunity to a nice amount of gold since the prices of those will be insane especially if your server has many good pve guilds.

The fallowup will be Shadow’s Edge, a quest that will reward you with the raw version of Shadowmourne, Sahadow’s Edge. There are no infos about what this quest will require you to do but it might be just a simple “handle only” quest, still i will update this as i have more informations. Next quest you will get is A Feast of Souls, and it requires to slay 1000 of the Lich King’s minions in Icecrown Citadel, notice that you can do that in both 25 and 10 man version. After that, you must endowed you wepon with unholy, blood and frost power and that is done by completing the fallowing quests: Unholy Infusion in which you must kill Professor Putricide using Eat Ooze; Blood Infusion that will require to kill Blood Queen Lana’thel while under the effect of Frenzied Bloodthirst; and Frost Infusion, quest that will be completed by defeating Sindragosa after he used 4 times Frost Breath. Note that those 3 bosses will have a certain numbers of attempts; you can read more about that here.
Completing all this will take a lot of time and some of the informations might not be so accurate. Anyway, good luck in getting your legendary!

After you are done with those 3 quests you will recive The Splintered Throne, quest that require you to get 50x Shadowfrost Shard from by the Lich King’s most powerful servants. There aren’t to many details about that but the shards might drop from the three most difficult encounters in Icecrown Citadel: Professor Putricide, Blood-Queen Lana’thel and Sindragosa. However this quest will take a lot of time to complete and will lead into Shadowmourne… that will reward you with the mighty axe, still this quest has not been fully implemented so we don’t know what it requires. After you will be handle with the legendary weapon you will get a final quest, The Lich King’s Last Stand that requires to defeat The Lich King.
Completing all those quests will require a lot of time and some of the above information might not be so accurate. Anyway, good luck in getting your legendary !
