Making gold mining and playing AH!

Today I am going to talk about how to make money mining and also playing ah. I am going to start with the mining part since you could use the gold earned doing this on playing ah. Mining is best gathering profession simply because the materials you get with it its use to level 3 other profession (jewel crafting, blacksmithing and engineering).
In order to fallow this guide you need a char at least lvl 48 with mining skill 255+. We are going to look for thorium ore and the best place to get it is Un’Goro. As shown in the video below I am just walking on the edge of the map looking for thorium mines. One tour of Un’Goro takes about 15 minutes and you will get around 5 stacks of thorium ore and a few other stones. The price for thorium ore varies between 50 and 80 gold on my server so that means I got at least 250 only on the ore and 50-100g if not more on the other stones. If your thinking about long time farming you will probably overflow the AH so try to sell them on both sides (horde and ally) with a help of a friend and also you can prospect them to get other kind of stone. Keep in mind that I was mining in a period of time when there weren’t others miners around so you might want to do the same. Also another good material to farm is mithril ore and I will probably post a movie with the best place to farm that soon.

In the second part of the guide I will give you a few advices about playing AH. First of all I want to define this term, playing AH basically means buying cheap stuff form AH transform it (or not) and sell more expensive. Best thing to do at this moment is buying and selling gems. That requires you do be Jewel crafter and to have at least few of the most important recipes. Although this not requires farming it also takes a lot of time. First you need to but some cheap gems, cardinal ruby are usually the most easy to sell so if you find a good deal don’t hesitate. Scanning AH every few hours or advertising on trade might also help you with getting so good deals. When cutting stones make sure you check the AH prices for each one of each color and cut the most expensive ones; don’t try to cut stones that are not commonly used since those are harder to sell. When putting a gem on ah make sure you put it with few silvers cheaper than the ones existing and don’t put more then 3-4 gems of each kind on a time since you risk on being undercuted. Constantly updating AH with new gems will help you dominate the market and grand you will a lot of gold.
